What is best in life? Burning a million quid!

I firmly believe there are two kinds of people in the world.

The first are the people who hear about that one time the KLF burned a million pounds on a fire back in the early nineties, and are shocked and appalled by the waste, and don't understand why they didn't just give the money to a worthy cause, and it's just stupid, considering all the kind things you could do with that money, and who the fuck do these guys think they are anyway?

The second group think the burning of a million quid is really, really funny, because it shows how absurd the whole system is, imparting such importance to a bunch of paper that burns just as easily as yesterday's newspaper. And besides, it was no less obscene than spending that money on a tacky mansion, or some sports car, or some other bullshit. And Alan Moore reckons it was a proper magical act.

So I'm with the latter.
